Drystack Marina Boat Storage

  Ripley Light Marina Dry Stack

Ripley Light Marina Drystack has undergone a complete rebuild. Located just across the Ashley River from Downtown Charleston, Ripley Drystack has been in operation since 1988. The marina is situated on Hwy 61, adjacent to California Dreaming restaurant and just blocks from the James Island Connector.

The complete rebuild began in early February 2010 and and finished up in May 2010. Ripley Drystack is all new and rebuilt to accommodate the needs of current and future boaters. The Drystack is bigger and better, with 220 new slips which accommodate boats up to forty (40’) feet. Slip heights are up to fourteen (14’) feet, which will allow for T-tops in all slips.

The rebuild has dramatically changed the marina. While we have been storing boats for over 20 years at this prime location and have traditionally stayed 100% full, our slip sizes and slip heights were very limited. The new facility will help us better serve our current clients, while also opening more space for the pent-up demand which has always existed from those with larger boats.

Ripley Drystack has purchased a new, state-of-the-art Wiggins forklift which can handle boats up to 20,000 lbs. We also added 29 new parking spaces. All docks are new and constructed of Ipe wood, including the fuel dock. There is also a new office, which includes new restrooms and showers.

We offer what can best be described as “valet parking for your boat”. We believe we have the best staff in the business and strive to keep our customers happy. Our job is to make the boating experience better for the boat owner who would otherwise have to trailer his boat and wait in line at public ramps. We offer full service, meaning customers can call ahead and have their vessels placed in the water, washed down, batteries checked, fueled, and ready to go with ice in the cooler. When finished boating, a customer need only leave his or her boat at the dock. Our staff will then wash it down again, flush the engine, and return the boat to its dry storage slip. Bottomline, our goal is to take the hassle out of boating so our customers will use and enjoy their boats more.
